THE early-season explosion of goals continued in the Lloyds TSB Junior Football League last night.
There were ten goals in the U14 fixture at St Ouen with visiting Rozel Rovers earning a point in a 5-5 draw.
Larry Gilhooly hit a hat-trick for the hosts but, despite team-mate Rueben Vieira also adding a brace, it was not enough for victory as Connor Mallette led the visitors’ reply with a treble, backed up by goals from Aaron Young and Martin Perkins.
First Tower smashed nine without reply away to St John, with Andrew Rabet hitting a treble.
Other Tower scorers were George Ghaffari, Christian Hanby, Alex Carpenter, Curtis Guthrie, William Lennox and Killian Dorey.
Trinity gained a good 2-1 away win against St Paul’s, with goals from Scott Finnigan and Rueben Pestana earning the points.
Daniel Tardivel scored for Saints.
Jersey Wanderers found the short trip to St Brelade rewarding, returning with a 6-1 win thanks to top individual scorer of the evening Daniel McAvennie, who hit four, and Kemi Nafkha, and Bradley Rimeur.
Michael Ahier scored St Brelade’s consolation.
12 goals St Peter scored nine of the 12 goals netted when St Clement came to visit, with Scott Welsh and Matthew Radcliffe both scoring twice to bolster goals from Michael Wakeham, Josh Coudrais, Clayton Romeril, Chris Bellot and Joe Parkinson.
