JDA to unveil its manifesto

THE Jersey Democratic Alliance will unveil its manifesto at a rally in the People’s Park on Sunday afternoon.

JDA politicians will present the manifesto to party members and members of the public, and give speeches at the start of their election campaigns in the Senatorial and Deputies’ polls.

Party chairman Deputy Geoff Southern said all four JDA election candidates who have declared so far would be at the marquee event from 3 pm – and added that there were more candidates who had yet to publicly declare.

Deputy Southern and JDA members Deputy Judy Martin and Senatorial candidate Denise Carroll will give speeches at the meeting, as will Isle of Man House of Keys Member Peter Karran.

Deputy Southern said they hoped for a big turnout and the chance to put some fun into the campaign, which he said would be run on traditional Jersey lines.
