PLANS for a new clubhouse, nine three-bedroom houses and ten self-catering flats have been submitted by Jersey Recreation Ground Ltd.
They want to build a new clubhouse for the St Clement’s golf and sports centre and ten self-catering flats for use by holidaymakers and visiting sports teams, and obtain planning permission for nine houses on the site of the existing clubhouse and adjoining land.
The chairman of the company, Trevor Gray, said: ‘This is part of an ongoing project to improve facilities.
The existing clubhouse needs replacing.
We are extending the golf course at the moment.’ In order to raise capital for the project and to keep costs low for current members of the club, a small part of the land is being sold, and it is on this land that permission has been sought to build the nine three-bedroom houses.
