Allan heads back to Uni
Monday 26th September 2005, 12:00AM BST.
JERSEY centre Ross Allan, who has been outstanding for Jersey RFC’s 1st XV this season, played his last game for the club for some while on Saturday before leaving for college in Plymouth, but he still has hopes of playing rugby both in, and for, Scotland.
My dad’s been trying to sort it out for me,’ he said, ‘but it looks as if I won’t be able to transfer from Plymouth, to an Edinburgh university, to complete the last two years of my degree.
‘However, I’m hoping that one of Scotland’s under-21 selectors will come south to watch me play in Plymouth.
If that doesn’t work out, I’ve only two years left of my university course and I’m seriously thinking about moving to Scotland to play for an Edinburgh club once I’ve taken my degree.’
