Concert for Emily raises £3,800

A MAJOR local band event on Saturday has raised in excess of £3,800 to help a five-year-old Islander who needs to pay for regular medical treatment in the UK.

Concert For Emily occupied two floors of the Live Lounge in James Street as around 15 acts volunteered their time to provide more than ten hours of live music.

The success of the concert will pay for at least two courses of treatment at the Institute for Advanced Neuromotor Rehabilitation in West Sussex for Emily Corbally Langley who suffered a massive seizure in March 2003 which left her unable to move.
