Eight-goal Crick shoots to the top of the charts

MURATTI striker Ross Crick shot to the top of the goalscoring chart on Saturday after scoring eight times against Division II Sporting Academics.
Crick moved on to 13 goals for the season – all scored in his last three games – as Channel Islands champions Jersey Scottish scored 14 times to steam-roller the Accies at Les Quennevais.
Island captain Chris Andrews notched a brace to move on to a dozen goals for the season while under-16 Celtic triallist Jack Boyle added a pair and defenders Craig Ferey and Scott Devlin singles.
Goals from Lucas Parker, Ryan Durrand, Marco Vieira and Marcus Bailey took St Peter to a 4-1 victory against Jersey Wanderers at the Hockey Club in the only all-Division I match.
The Saints’ defences were broken for the first time in four games by Chris Dwyer.
Division I Rozel Rovers were beaten by Division II St Ouen, the Saints winning 5-4 on a penalty shoot-out after sharing four goals after 90 minutes and extra time at Le Couvent.
Jon Evans and Rob Sanford scored for St Ouen while Rozel, whose Reserves defeated St Ouen’s first-team last week in the JFA’s Willis Cup, notched through Jerry O’Shea and Scott Healey.
Bradley Russell moved on to 11 goals for the season after hitting the target four times in First Tower’s 6-2 success against Division II Portuguese Club at La Hague Manor.
Scott Walsh and Steve McKenna also netted for the victors with Portuguese replying through F Milton De Freitas and Freddie Mendes.
Division I St Brelade edged home 2-1 against Division II Beeches Old Boys at the FB Fields.
The Saints, who had Liam Sutton sent off for the second time this season after picking up two cautions, netted through Fintan Kennedy and Jack Crawford with Bob Bonney replying for the Old Boys.
Paul Lees (two), Jamie Racjan and Ben Doherty scored Jersey Nomads’ goals in a 4-1 success against St Ouen at Les Quennevais, Jason Reynolds replied, while Trinity returned 6-0 victors from Division II St Clement where Dave Le Roux scored two and Jimmy Reilly, Danny Craven, John Rutter and Paul Banahan hit one apiece.
St Martin/SCF scored two own goals in their 5-0 defeat away to St Paul’s at St Saviour.
On the mark for St Paul’s were Anthony McGovern, Craig Leitch and Jean-Paul Martyn.
Magpies lost a three-goal lead before bouncing back at Les Quennevais to beat Jersey Nomads 6-4 after extra-time in the Dog Club Trophy for reserves teams.
Matt Pamplin scored four and Neil Bredonchel and Dean Brennan one apiece for the ‘Pies with Chris Duhamel (two), Daniel Pinho and Rob Mason netting for Nomads.
Alex Pemberton and Martin Staines scored Jersey Wanderers’ goals in a 2-0 victory over Sporting Academics at the Airport.
Matt Wells’ second-half strike earned Beeches Old Boys at 1-0 win at St Martin/SCF while Reuben Legge scored a brace and Aaron Scott and Ian Hutton singles in Jersey Scottish’s 4-0 win at the FB Fields against St Clement.
St Lawrence won by the odd-goal in three at home to St John.
Michael Caetano and Craig Singleton were on target for the winners and Andy Robbins for the losers.
Graham Ling bagged a hat-trick and Peter Smith and Tommy Titshall singles in Trinity’s 5-2 home victory against St Peter.
Mark Nicol and Darren A’Court replied.
Peter Hall (two), Martyn White, Karl Stoodley and Mark Grenyer registered Grouville’s goals in a 5-0 win against St Paul’s at the IJ Bathe Field.
First Tower defeated St Ouen 4-2 on penalties after the sides had shared four goals after 90 minutes and six after extra-time at Les Quennevais.
St Ouen scored in stoppage time to force the extra period – then Tower did the same 30 minute later to take it to penalties.
Stephen Ruiz, Eddie Vautier and Wayne Shales netted for Tower and Anthony Marett, Phil Faulkner and Dave Evans for St Ouen, the latter who missed the target with two of their spot-kicks.
