Giant-killers drawn at home to St Brelade
Monday 3rd October 2005, 12:00AM BST.
GIANT-killers St Ouen have been drawn at home to Division I St Brelade in the quarter-finals of the Le Riches Cup.
The Division II side eliminated top flight Rozel Rovers on Saturday, on a penalty shoot-out, after the teams had shared four goals at Le Couvent.
Jersey Nomads are the only other Division II club in the last eight and they have been given a tough draw against Channel Islands champions Jersey Scottish.
Nomads will be keen to turn in a better performance than when the clubs last met, Scottish defeating them 7-0 in August in the Charity Cup.
The other two quarter-finals are all-Division I affairs between First Tower and St Peter and Trinity and Charity Cup winners St Paul’s.
The Dog Club Trophy draw, for reserve teams, is: Grouville v First Tower; Jersey Scottish v Jersey Wanderers; Trinity v Magpies; St Lawrence v Beeches Old Boys.
Above matches are due to be played early in February 2006.
