Golf tournament boosts Animal Health with £40k

THE Jacksons Golf Tournament helped raise around £40,000 for Animal Health Trust last Friday at the Royal Jersey Golf Club.
The tournament was played in difficult conditions making the day challenging.
The highlight of the tournament, reported in full earlier this week, was John Tanguy’s hole-in-one on the fourth – winning him a Porsche Boxster provided by Jacksons Garage.
The evening event was held at the Jersey Pottery Restaurant.
Lady Cheshire and Tom Scott presented the prizes and this was followed by the charity auction.
In the region of £40,000 was raised for the Animal Health Trust.
Trust officials thanked sponsor Tom Scott and everyone who supported the event.
Results: (Stableford 7/8, best two scores to count) – 1, Brown Shipley 88 pts (Jules Rotheram, James Rotheram, James Hurst and Charles Edwards); 2, The Moorings 86 pts (David St George, John Tibbo, Richard Harrop, Iain Moodie); 3, The Safari 84 pts (Mike Kearns, Simon Gray, John Billington, Andrew Dawson).
