Hundreds visit Anne Frank exhibition
Thursday 6th October 2005, 12:00AM BST.
MORE than 1,000 Island children visited an interactive exhibition on the life of Holocaust victim Anne Frank last month.
Anne Frank + You was on display at the Maritime Museum and 28 groups of Island primary and secondary school children went to see it.
The exhibition included a life-size replica of Anne Frank’s bedroom, a computerised tour of her house, and the chance to sign a pledge to make a better world and honour all children killed in war.
Hundreds of declarations were signed by youngsters and many took the opportunity to write their thoughts in replica diary pages set out as part of the exhibition.
