Old Victorians travel for Hockey Vets home tie

Old Victorians HC Veterans side meet Penzance HC in the National HA Vets Cup tomorrow.

Although a ‘home tie’ OVs will travel to Southampton to play as Penzance were unable to arrange travel to Jersey

OVs will have their work cut out as defensive stalwarts Richard Sugden and Dominic Pallot are missing.

OVs’ early season form has been patchy, but centre forward Nigel de Carteret is knocking in the goals.

Skipper Tim Herbert is optimistic: ‘Penzance, too, have a long way to travel and it will be vital that we start positively, keep possession and our structure and play to our strengths.
