Show goes on at the Opera House

Saturday 8th October 2005, 12:00AM BST.

JERSEY Opera House is getting back to business with its first published programme of events for nearly a year.

The half-season brochure, entitled Live’n'Kicking, which covers the period from 25 October to 7 January 2006, features return visits by popular tribute show Buddy Holly and The Cricketers and West End thriller The Woman In Black, as well as a one-night performance from acclaimed folk singer Julie Felix.

Local productions include stand-up comedy for children with the Jersey Evening Post’s new children’s page author, Simon MacDonald, as well as concerts by the Band of the Island of Jersey, the Well Swung Jazz Orchestra and Imogen Nicholls’ Musical Originals.

The season opens with St Martin’s Musical Society’s annual show on 25 October, while the Jersey Green Room Club’s pantomime, Snow White, will be filling the club’s usual Christmas and New Year slot.
