JERSEY Scottish returned to the summit of Coca-Cola Combination Division I following a 5-1 victory away to Rozel Rovers on Saturday.
Ross Crick (two), Chris Carter, Paul Crompton and new signing Craig Leitch netted for the Scots, three of their goals coming in time added on for stoppages at the end of the second half.
James O’Haire’s first goal of the season turned out to be the Rovers’ consolation at Le Couvent.
Trinity trail the champions Scottish by two points after they romped to an 8-0 home success against Jersey Wanderers.
The youthful visitors put up a brave fight – 15-year-old Southampton triallist goalkeeper Max Jouan producing a handful of excellent saves – before falling to two goals each from a busy Jimmy Reilly, Danny Craven and Paul Banahan.
Jon Fitzmaurice and David Lloyd completed the scoring.
St Brelade fought back from 3-1 down, they also led 4-3, to draw 4-4 at home to St Paul’s and therefore retain their unbeaten home record.
Fintan Kennedy (two), Ollie Nightingale and Liam Sutton notched for the hosts with Stuart André bagging a hat-trick for the visitors and Kamil Adamczak a single.
