THREE players scored hat-tricks in a super Coca-Cola Combination ladies’ division game at St John on Sunday morning.

Spectators were treated to some flowing football with 11 goals scored, one from a penalty while another penalty kick was saved.

Entertainment aplenty as St John defeated Jersey Wanderers 7-4.

Laura Robertson and Karen Caygill scored hat-tricks for the winners with Wanderers’ Kathryn Porter also notching a treble.

Becky Darts was also on the mark for the winners and Chandelle Newcombe for the losers.

Wanderers squandered several good chances and then fell behind when Caygill scored a penalty kick.

St John settled after this to net again through Robertson and Caygill before Wanderers pulled a goal back.

The second half started at a frantic pace and Wanderers scored again.

They had the chance to level, only for St John’s Bev Luton to deny them with a fine penalty save.

St John then went on a goal rampage scoring four more with Wanderers chipping in with a brace to complete an entertaining half.

Tower now lead the division on goal-difference from St John after goals by Sophie Twinham, Kerry Sauvage and Lauren Jéhan secured them a 3-0 success at former leaders St Clement.

Ebony Hotton, Lisa Fagan and Krystle Matthews played well for Saints.

Hannah Taylor hit a hat-trick and Naomi Gibaut a single as St Brelade won 4-2 against Grouville.

On the mark for the hosts at Le Boulivot were Katie Ridley and Danielle Hill.

St Peter also won on their travels, 6-3 against St Paul’s at St Saviour.

Lisa Godinho and Sue Stewart scored doubles for the visitors and Sarah Williams and Kate Halden singles.

Sue Davison hit a brace for St Paul’s and Dee Byrne a single.
