Two in running for Constable in St Brelade

THERE will be a contested election in St Brelade on 9 November for the position of Constable.
Two businessmen were nominated last night as contenders for the role of father of the parish.
The meeting was chaired by the sitting Constable, Max de la Haye, who is retiring from the post and will be replaced by either Steve Pallett or Mike Jackson, who were nominated before an audience of more than 100 parishioners.
