Big increase in Autumn 10k entry

OVER 215 runners have signed up for the Jersey Spartan AC 10k race on Sunday – 50 more than last year.
And the entries are still rolling in.
Last year’s winner Jo McGarry is favourite for the women’s race and on her present form could well beat all the men.
Although she missed out on qualification for the Commonwealth Games 5000m by just five seconds McGarry won an international 10k in Rennes last weekend when over 2,700 were in the field.
The course takes the runners from Gorey Village to St Catherine’s and back.
The race starts at 9 am.
Entries cost £6 for club members and £8 for non-members.
Entries on the day will be £20.
