Combination Select XI to face Northern Ireland Under-16s

A JERSEY Football Combination junior select XI are to play Northern Ireland under-16s at Springfield on Monday evening.

The Irish schoolboys’ Victory Shield squad are playing two games in the Island next week, the second is on Wednesday against Jersey’s under-16s.

Monday’s JFC under-17 squad will be taken by Daryn Noble (Jersey Wanderers) and Mark Kelly (St Brelade).

The pair are getting their squad together at 6 o’clock on Sunday evening at the Hockey Club.

Noble said: ‘We will have a tactical session so the players know what system we will play and get used to players they don’t know in the squad.

‘We know we will be in for a tough game against international opponents and we want to be prepared as much as we can.’ The Combination’s U17 squad is: Darren A’Court, Ben Bechelet, Luke Bechelet, Calum Black, Stuart Brown, Luke Campbell, Piers Cummins, Jason De Andrade, Paul Dingle, Ben Gallichan, Sam Habin, James Hamelin, Daniel Lezala, Dom Quaek, Jamie Savory, Scott Slicer and Oliver Thompson.
