La Collette preferred site for new waste plant

LA Collette is now the preferred site for the replacement plant for the Bellozanne incinerator.

Environment and Public Services yesterday thursendorsed department recommendations to site the new energy from waste plant next to the power station and relocate the composting centre to Bellozanne.

A third site has been identified for the approved recycling centre but will not be made public until the committee has briefed States Members on the revisions to the Solid Waste Strategy.
