What Katie said!

A BIG romantic gesture by a man who proposed to his girlfriend by writing the question in the sand at Beauport last Thursday paid off with an immediate acceptance.
The result is that primary school teachers Katie Elder and Ben Silva are to tie the knot in Antigua in December.
The proposal came as a complete surprise to Katie as on that day she believed she was going for a quiet walk on the beach with her friend, Michelle.
When the two women reached the top of the cliff, though, she could see the words ‘Will You Marry Me Katie’ in the sand.
Her boyfriend, Ben, was on bended knee alongside the romantic message.
