Protection for civil servants
Wednesday 19th October 2005, 12:00AM BST.
CIVIL servants could be protected from criticism by States Members under new rules proposed by Policy and Resources.
And even if States Members are convinced that criticising States employees is in the public interest, they would still be banned from naming them publicly.

The committee want to add new rules to the States Members Code of Conduct, restricting the right of States Members to publicly criticise any States employees, including police officers.
