Standards raised in the market

TRADING Standards has become the first organisation in Jersey to have become accredited with the Investors in People revised standard.

Based in the Central Market, the organisation passed the standard on the day of its first assessment, five months after committing themselves to the process.

Chief Trading Standards officer Trevor Le Roux said the award, which has been organised by the Training and Employment Partnership, was a credit to his whole team.

He said: ‘Being involved with and maintaining standards is what our service is all about and therefore going forward for accreditation just seemed a natural extension to this.
