In the pink!

DRINKERS may be surprised to see people swapping their frosty brown pint of Jersey Best for a bright pink beer this weekend to raise money for a local breast cancer charity.

The new beer, which is a Pilsner lager 4% ABV, has been created by Jersey Brewery to raise money for local charity, After Breast Cancer (ABC), as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness week.

It will cost £1.50 for a half pint, and it is hoped will raise up to £5,000 while stocks last.

The brewery used strawberries and raspberries to give the beer its pinkish colour and sweet taste, and took five weeks to produce more than 4,000 pints.

It went on sale today.
