Guthrie shines in Team Bath victory

SERENA GUTHRIE caught the eye in Team Bath’s 48-20 victory over the best of the rest from Cornwall and West Devon on Saturday.

Said Jersey netball development officer Linda Andrews: ‘She played wing defence for threequarters of the game and made a lot of flamboyant interceptions during the third quarter.

‘Team Bath linked well considering they were all new players together and the experience of being among England players and playing in front of a capacity crowd was good for Serena.’ Guthrie will be back in Bath tomorrow for England fitness training before rejoining Team Bath for their next match against Beds Mavericks on Saturday.
