Suddenly it’s summer!

TEMPERATURES were due to peak today at an amazing 20นC – very close to the record for the last third of October of 20.2นC in 1949.

Those with time on their hands today had the opportunity to make the most of the warm and bright autumn day, which is due to be sunny until cloud takes over this evening.

Forecaster Mark Le Cornu said that Jersey was benefiting from warm air coming up from north Africa, resulting in a day of warm, unbroken sunshine.

Today’s temperature compares to an average at this time of year of 15นC.
