Friday 28th October 2005, 12:00AM BST.
A FEMALE traffic warden was assaulted after suffering a torrent of abuse and obscenities from an angry motorist on Tuesday.
The warden is thought to have been issuing a parking ticket to a vehicle illegally parked on the Esplanade when the driver returned and began shouting and threatening her.
He then grabbed her violently by the arm before getting in his car and driving away.
President of Public Services, Senator Philip Ozouf, speaking today, said he was angered by the attack.
He warned that all assaults on Public Services staff would result in prosecution.
