Here is the Broken News, with James
Monday 31st October 2005, 12:00AM GMT.
A JERSEY actor will appear in the latest television comedy on BBC 2 tonight.
Former Channel Television news presenter James Hunt (29) will play the sports anchor man in comedy series Broken News.
Mr Hunt, whose stage name is James Howard, said that the comedy took a satirical look at the nation’s obsession with 24-hour news.
He said: ‘We need to know everything that’s going on and expect to get updates when we want them.
I find myself watching it for hours on end and nothing happens, so they repeat same thing.
Having done that side of things, I have sympathy for it.
It shows news reporters desperately trying to think of things to say when there is nothing to report on.
