Process for construction complaints is approved
Tuesday 1st November 2005, 12:00AM GMT.
THE Jersey Construction Council has approved a complaints and dispute resolution procedure.
All members of the council are now bound to abide by the procedure in any dispute arising with their customers and customers will be able to approach the Council in the first instance if they are unhappy with the work of any member.
Chairman Paul Harding said: ‘This underpins the work of our members and provides a way for the occasional problems that arise to be resolved.
In the past there was no system in place, although last year the two or three cases referred to us were successfully resolved.
‘Very often the problem arises because of lack of communication and we believe this procedure will be more satisfactory for our members and for their customers.
