Christmas too early for Jersey Post

Wednesday 7th December 2005, 12:00AM GMT.

SLEIGH driving experience is not essential but the ability to ride a bike would be an advantage.

That is part of the job description in Jersey Post’s urgent appeal for more helpers over the Christmas period.

Although 95 extra employees have already been taken on to help process and deliver the hundreds of thousands of Christmas cards and presents to Islanders’ homes, more are needed.

Senior operations manager Andy Jéhan said: ‘We are looking for men and woman who are over 18, are fit and healthy and ideally can ride a bike .

. .

though an ability to climb down chimneys and control lively reindeer would be an advantage!’
