Millionaire in High Court battle with stepdaughter
Wednesday 14th December 2005, 12:00AM GMT.
MULTI-MILLIONAIRE Jersey re-sident Malcolm Hall is involved in a bitter High Court battle with his own stepdaughter.
The 74-year-old owner of Gibraltar Farm in St Peter is suing Mary Hall for the return of £105,000 that he says he loaned her to help buy a home in Fulham Road, London.
But she is counter-suing him for more than £700,000, saying that the money was a gift.
The court heard that the dispute follows Mr Hall’s bitter split from his wife of 25 years – who is also called Mary – in 1999 after he had an affair.
