Murder victim’s inquest closes
Wednesday 14th December 2005, 12:00AM GMT.
AN inquest into the death of a woman who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend last year was formally closed yesterday.
In September Nicholas Goss (38) was sentenced to life behind bars after he admitted killing Michelle Gibson (40) at her home.
He tied a belt around her neck and bashed her face repeatedly on the kitchen floor of her Cannon Street home in May 2004.
Opening the proceedings, Deputy Viscount Peter de Gruchy said to the members of the family present: ‘It is a great pity that you have to suffer this further ordeal but it is part of the legal process.’
