Pupils band together in fund-raising effort

TWO FCJ pupils are looking to the latest fund-raising phenomenon in an effort to help their counterparts in Pakistan.

Leanne McNutt (11) and Angharad Prescott (10) have decided that plastic wristbands – like those made popular through cyclist Lance Armstrong’s appeal for victims of testicular cancer – would be a great way to raise money for victims of the Kashmir earthquake as part of the Jersey Side by Side Appeal.

They came up with the idea after Leanne chose the topic for a school project.
