Five-year residency rules ‘stifle’ business

THE five-year residency rule which governs employment in the Island is stifling Jersey businesses, says a recruitment company.
The founders of Bromley Sanders say there are numerous vacancies in the finance industry which could be filled by well-qualified candidates, if the five-year rule was relaxed.
They say the knock-on effect is that existing staff are having to work 12-hour days to cope with the workload.
Penny Bromley and Geraldine Sanders are this month celebrating a successful first year in business.
