Two in court after beach party
Thursday 15th December 2005, 12:00AM GMT.
TWO men defended themselves in court yesterday after an all-night beach party that police eventually broke up in the middle of the next morning.
Sacha Peter John Le Breton (29), of Dumaresq Street, and Anthony Stearn (also 29), of Le Marais, St Clement, denied obstructing the police by refusing to obey the orders of Pcs Stephen Russell and David O’Brien at St Brelade on 17 July.
For Le Breton, it meant that instead of working on the new Magistrate’s Court building in the Parade, where he said he was helping to install the air conditioning, he appeared in the Town Hall courtroom which it will soon replace.
He was conducting his own defence.
