Public dig JCB song

THE nephew of a local couple is at No 1 in the pop music charts with a song about a JCB digger.
The JCB Song by Nizlopi is written and performed by Luke Concannon and his life-long friend John Parker.
Luke’s father Kieron is the band’s manager.
Luke is the nephew of Yve and Roy Topping, who live in Oxford Road, and Kieron is Yve’s brother.
Yve’s daughter Lauren (20), was in the audience when the duo performed on Top of the Pops earlier this month.
And the Topping family will be watching Top of the Pops at home with huge interest on Christmas Day hoping the band retain the top spot.
The song is a tale about a boy enjoying a JCB ride with his dad and wishing he could use the empowerment he feels as he rides along to tackle school bullies.
Yve said the song was autobiographical and written mainly by Luke.
