SAILING:Henry Perkins aboard his Laser beat Emma Speller by one second to win the St Catherine’s SC Boxing Day race.
The pair were closely followed by Lydia Carter and Ruan Simpson.
SHOOTING: Mark Andrews was high gun at the Crabbé Clay Pigeon Club’s Boxing Day 50-bird sporting competition with a score of 45 ex 50.
John de la Haye took Class A on 42 ex 50, one ahead of Ashley Le Sech.
Alex Shakeshaft won Class B with 38 ex 50 and Peter Quimby Class C with 28 ex 50, beating Tony Sergeant into second place on a countback.
GOLF: Margaret Vautier won the Les Mielles Ladies GC winter league Seniors Stableford competition on Friday with 17 points off her 16 handicap.
Irene Journeaux was second with 16 off 16 and Caroline Michel third with 14 off 18.
GOLF: The Royal Jersey Wooden Spoon competition was won by Ian Smith’s team of Robin and Sonia Smith and Robert Gray who completed the course in 49 shots, despite struggling at the relatively straightforward second hole.
GOLF: The Secretary’s team beat the Captain’s side by 241.5 points to 236.5 points in the Demi Golf Society competition on Saturday.
Meanwhile Graeme Matson won the Demi Stableford Shield with 38 points off a 17 handicap.
Peter Osment was second with 35 points off 16.

GOLF: The team of Virginia Austin-Walker, H Walker and Charles Gruchy top scored in the La Moye GC Ladies Boxing Day competition with 45 points.
