Flights disrupted
Wednesday 4th January 2006, 12:00AM GMT.
AIR passengers suffered disruption as a result of thick fog last night.
A number of flights were cancelled, including one bound for Madeira which has been rescheduled for this evening.
The late Flybe and British Airways services from Gatwick and Southampton were cancelled, and this meant that the early-morning flights today were also cancelled.
A number of inter-island services were also affected.
However, Jersey Airport customer services manager Steve Read said that no one was stranded at the Airport.
‘The Jersey passengers went home, and as far as we know others were evidently able to find accommodation for the night.
All services were back on schedule this morning,’ he said.
