Jersey’s men take the lion’s share

HONOURS finished even over the weekend with Jersey and Guernsey bowlers winning five titles apiece in the Channel Islands championships played in Guernsey.
Jersey’s men were successful in four events while the ladies won one.
Teenager Jamie MacDonald won the under-25s’ singles, triples and four titles on Saturday before losing heavily in the men’s singles final on Sunday.
Lindsey Greechan took the under-25s’ ladies’ success for Jersey while there were narrow defeats for in the fours and pairs sections.
Respective champions will represent the CI in the British Isles championships in the near future.
