SWIMMING:AFTER three days of intensive swimming in the Channel Islands championships in Les Quennevais sports centre pool AIB Tigers had won 90 events, Beau Séjour 64, the Jersey Swimming Club 25 and the Guernsey Swimming Club 19.

GOLF: DAVID LE DUC won the Demi golf Society’s D Le Breton Shield at St Clement’s GC on Saturday morning, finishing nine up.
Toni Rowles (four up) was the runner up.
VOLLEYBALL: INSURANCE Corporation League results at Haute Vallée School gymnasium yesterday were as follows: Ladies League – Insurance Corporation Jets bt Jackson Fox Panthers 3-1 (25-9, 23-25, 25-8, 25-20); 2e2 Panthers bt Eastern 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-13).

CROSS-COUNTRY: UNDER-17 runner Toby Edwards won his second Graeme Le Maistre cross-country series race at Trinity Manor on Saturday, with Jon Coote finishing second in the Jersey Spartan AC event.
Jo McGarry won the ladies race, with Kerry Petulla second.
SHOOTING: THE winner of the Cabbbé Clay Pigeon Club’s 50-bird sporting yesterday morning was John de la Haye with 43 ex 50.
B Class winner was Clive Green with 39 ex 50, while Charlie Goubert shot 35 ex 50 to collect C Class honours.
GOLF: THE winners of La Moye GC’s St Dunstan’s Guide Dogs for the Blind greensomes Stableford on Saturday were Malcolm Shaw and Michael Kearns (16 handicap) with a score of 43, followed by Denny Marshall and Barry Thorp (5 h’cap) on 41, and Jurat Stan Le Cornu and Philip Le Cornu (6 h’cap) third on 40.
MOTOR SPORT: PAUL MOLLET won the Jersey Motor Cycle and Light Car Club’s Rally Cup at their motorcycle trial at Beau Pré, St Ouen yesterday.
Other class winners were: Junior D: Richard Pallot; Junior C: Christopher Vibert; Junior B: Richard Vibert; Junior A: Daniel Jeanne who wins the Les Tourist Trophy; Adult C: Trevor Daghorn; Adult B: Ryan Harrison; Adult B plus: Adam Le Cheminant, a junior, won this senior route at his second attempt.
