Plan for ormer farm to export to Far East

A SHELLFISH farmer wants to set up an ormer farm to export the delicacies to the Far East.
An application for an ormer farming enterprise is being made to the Sea Fisheries and Marine Resources Advisory Panel by shellfish farmer Tony Legg and the Jersey Turbot Company, based at the Viviers in St Catherine.
And a future for Jersey as a link in a chain of ormer farming locations is to be discussed in an ‘ormer workshop’ being held in Jersey in May.
