Tourism spearheads new economic drive

ECONOMIC Development Minister Philip Ozouf has set as a priority the task of ‘reinvigorating’ the Island’s visitor economy over the next three years.
In his introduction to Economic Development’s 2006 business plan, Senator Ozouf says he firmly believes that the tourism industry has turned the corner, with exciting new investment in bed stock and facilities already in evidence.
He also pledges to make the Harbour and Airport ‘more commercial’, to assist the agricultural industry to restructure, and to be ‘a strong and positive voice’ on the St Helier Task Force.
