Bahrain meeting’s boost for business

CHIEF Minister Frank Walker held talks with Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa ibn Sulman Al Khalifa this morning which he says could yield tens of billions more in investments from the Arab island kingdom.

Senator Walker is leading a delegation from promotional body Jersey Finance and industry representatives to Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Dubai over the next two weeks.

He says that every visit to the region increases Jersey’s standing and the value of Arab investments held in the Island, and that signs suggest that the Bahrain visit could yield tens of billions of pounds in holdings.
