Waterfront plan for carousel
Tuesday 7th March 2006, 12:00AM GMT.
A CAROUSEL, street entertainment and a permanent trampoline park could be introduced at Jardins de la Mer this summer.
The Waterfront Enterprise Board want to create an ‘olde worlde’ feel with a European-style carousel while livening up the park with more public art and entertainment.
They have just put in a planning application for the trampolines which are currently sitting on development land close to the entrance to be moved to the north-west corner of the site.
They have also asked for permission to set up a car-ousel between the fountains and the site of La Frégate café.
WEB finance director Rafe Woolf said that the plan was to create a better quality long-term pro- vision for the park.
