Top award for 30 years of devotion to care

MARGARET du Feu has been named the Woman in the Community 2006 in recognition of her exceptional and long-term devotion to caring for the elderly.

Mrs du Feu, who has been involved with the Willows daycare centre since its inception in 1976, was selected out of 24 nominees for the award run by Soroptimist International of Jersey.

The professional and businesswomen’s service organisation makes the presentation annually to recognise the contribution made by women to community life.

Mrs du Feu, who lives with her husband Derrick in St Clement, has no idea who made the nomination but was delighted to have been selected.
