Iraq service honoured

ON a day-to-day basis they are traffic wardens and builders, but ten Islanders who also serve with the Territorial Army were awarded medals for their service in Iraq yesterday.
The Lieut-Governor, Air Chief Marshal Sir John Cheshire, presented the Iraq Medals to members of the Jersey Field Squadron at a ceremony attended by family and friends.
Capt Tim Hay, SSgt Chas Thompson, Sgt Paul Davey, Sgt Peter Lucia, LCpl Richard Vinen, LCpl Steve Mandel, Spr John Doran, Spr Mark Cowley, Spr Tyrone Thornett and Spr Paul Gregory, were all recognised at the ceremony, which was held at the Le Quesne TA Centre.
