Probe into report on polluted water

AN investigation into the information given to homeowners in St Ouen’s Bay about the pollution of borehole supplies is to be carried out by the politician responsible for the Airport.

Yesterday, Economic Development Assistant Minister Alan Maclean attended an informal meeting with representatives of residents whose water supplies were affected by pollution that originated at the Airport fire ground.

Deputy Maclean said that he listened to what the residents’ representatives had to say and agreed to look into a number of matters they have raised.

The meeting was organised by St Peter Deputy Collin Egré, who would only say that the residents were pleased to have had a constructive meeting with the assistant minister and looked forward to speaking to him again at a later date.
