Woman attacked in St Aubin

Friday 31st March 2006, 12:00AM BST.

A WOMAN was allegedly attacked and indecently assaulted in daylight by a man in a suit while walking in St Aubin yesterday.

Police believe the assault happened near the Methodist Church, on the Bulwarks, between 6.45 pm and 7.15 pm.

The alleged attacker is described a being a white European male, in his early 50s, 5 ft 9 in tall, with short cropped hair which is black and greying.

He was wearing a black suit and white shirt.

The 25-year-old woman was left scratched and bruised after fending off her alleged attacker.

She is 5 ft 5 in tall and is described as being slim with long, straight, blond hair.

Duty Insp Bernie Noel said that an attack of this nature, in this area and at this time of the evening, in daylight, was unusual.
