Snooker:Bradshaw pots league championship

SERVICES’ Bob Bradshaw won the WeBB Holdings Individual Snooker league last week.
Runner-up Jeremy Gogan only has one match to play so therefore he cannot catch Bradshaw, who has two matches to play.
Gogan beat Robbie Kilpatrick 2-1 to push Kilpatrick into third.
Fourth place is not confirmed as Mick Mahrer needs two points from his last match against Bradshaw to take it from Ian Gould.
Curt Tindall won his final match 2-1 against Colin Heys.
These top four win places in the Island team together with Jersey’s snooker champion.
Mino’s Division III champions Services won a thrilling O’Neill Shield KO final 436-414 against new boys Mechs C.
David Hamilton gave Services a 43-point lead against Stuart Holley only for Mechs wins from Fergus Cullen, by 14 points, and Paul Richards, by 32 points – against Steve Fitzpatrick and Trevor Johnson respectively – to put the Mechs ahead overall by three points.
Martin Forbes played Services’ Johnny Lockhart and it Forbes who won the first frame by 17 points, giving them a 20-point lead, only for Lockhart to take the second 58-16 and victory overall.
The Island snooker final will be between Ian Gould and Jeremy Gogan, victors over Robbie Kilpatrick (3-1) and Bob Bradshaw (3-0) respectively last night.
It will be played tomorrow at the Mechanics’ Institute, from 7 pm.
Island billiards champion Mick Mahrer defends his crown against Guy Heys tonight in the Beaumont Homes Centre final at the Mechanics’ Institute.
