£22m from States property review?

Monday 10th April 2006, 12:00AM BST.

MORE than £22 million could be generated through the sale and better management of States property, according to a report out today.

As well as suggesting that the States sell off Seaton Youth Club, Jersey College for Girls and Rozel Mill, the division want to review the future of other States-owned sites.

Fort Regent, Howard Davis Farm, Overdale and St Saviour’s hospitals and d’Hautrée, all of which are part of the £1.6 billion States property portfolio, could be used to help Property Services raise the millions by 2011.

The properties could be sold or leased or other profitable uses could be found.

The proposals are included in the Council of Ministers’ Strategic Plan, which is lodged today.
