£25,000 donation for addiction treatment

A DONATION of £25,000 means that drug rehabilitation centre Silkworth Lodge can continue to treat Island addicts.
The cash has been raised by The Amazon Trust – a charitable trust administered by Mourant – and will make up a big part of the clinic’s annual operational costs.
The States have recently agreed to provide two thirds of the funding, although Silkworth Lodge programme director Ian Rodger says the charity constantly relies on the support of benefactors.
