Old phone books . . . just sit on them for a while
Monday 10th April 2006, 12:00AM BST.
IF you are wondering what to do with your old telephone directories, you might learn a thing or two from Paul Talbot, the 2005 winner of the Jersey Telecom student arts competition.
He was commissioned by JT to design a chair using recycled directories.
The symbolic chair is on display in the Minden Place shop.
This year is the tenth year that JT have organised their annual drive to recycle old directories.
The campaign runs until 28 April, and so far more than 21,000 directories have come in.
