Tuesday 11th April 2006, 12:00AM BST.
THE housemaster of a teenager killed in a car crash at the weekend has paid tribute to the popular and charismatic pupil.
James Wootton (18) died when his green Fiat Punto flipped over and hit a wall at Les Charrières de Bonne Nuit at around 1.30 am on Sunday.
He had just returned home on holiday from Winchester College, where he was an A-level student.
Nick MacKinnon was Mr Wootton’s housemaster at the English public school.
‘James was so alive and charismatic and was admired by his many friends.
‘He was a wonderful boy, very bright, independent and full of life.
He was planning to study in France, at Tours, and I had the highest hopes for his future.’
